The Con season, this year, has been a rough and weird experience. I wouldn't say it was a bad thing, as I see it as growth in me evolving as an artist and creator. I finally was able to sell at the artist alley of Fanime in San Jose, California, made my first appearance at the new AM2 con in Anaheim, made my first appearance on the dealer hall floor of Anime-Expo and, was just roaming around the Exhibit Hall and Panel/Workshops of Comic-Con. Not showing, at Comic-Con, after 2 years of being a part of Small Press, was eye opening and made me hungry for it again... I have already grown from a regular Con-Goer into someone who shows and sells at conventions, going back is pretty much impossible for me now, as my interests in the conventions involve me being more of behind the table or in front of the camera rather than just the spectator.
With that said, I will now be going full force into my love of what I do, further evolving my arts. Next month is Animegacon in Las Vegas, and I'm gonna hit it HARD! I am also working on my At The Blade Of Dawn: Megumi manga with a writer friend and, OMG, it is going to be amazing. I won't be selling this one in an American style format. It will be straight up Japanese tankoban style now. My deadline, for the first volume, is Anime-Expo 2013, all 150+ pages. It will be the most intense thing you will read!
Now, I didn't forget about the Con-Goers... Some of you may already know that I have brought them back to the internets and will be trying out a few places for it. But, for now, please check out the Con-Goers over here:
